Flock Radar is a community map of automatic license-plate reader cameras. We collect as little as we can to run the map, accounts, and nearby alerts.
Accounts
Sign-in uses Google (Gmail) or email and password. We store the account id, display name, email, and session so you stay signed in on this device. Passwords are handled by the auth service and are not stored in plain text.
Location
GPS is used on your phone for Drive, nearby alerts, auto-filling a report street, and centering the map after sign-in. Location is processed on the device. We do not sell location history and we do not build a movement profile on the server.
Reports
Camera pins you submit (coordinates, facing, street, notes, confirms) are public on the map so other drivers can see them. Do not put personal information in notes.
Notifications
Nearby camera alerts are local notifications while Drive or camera alerts are on. We do not send marketing push.
Public data
Seed camera locations come from OpenStreetMap via DeFlock. Map tiles: OpenFreeMap, OpenMapTiles, OpenStreetMap contributors.
Delete your account
Sign in, open About, and choose Delete account. That removes your login. Public pins you already submitted stay on the map as community data (street and facing only — not your name).
